Dear Fellow Golfer,
Ever walked off the 18th green thinking: “I know I’m capable of better…”
You’re not alone - and chances are, some of these may also sound familiar:
You warm up great… but can’t seem to bring it to the course
You string a few good holes together… then out of nowhere, the wheels come off
You would’ve had a solid round if it weren’t for those two or three blow-up holes
The reason you struggle with consistency has less to do with your swing, or even your ability to repeat it.
Sure, we could all benefit from a better swing. But that’s not the real issue.
The truth is - most golfers have never really been shown how to play the course - or how to get the most out of the game that shows up for them that day.
That’s exactly what this program will do.
This isn’t about swing mechanics or technical instruction.
It’s about showing you how to play better with the game you have right now.
I created this program to pass along the same on-course lessons that were taught to me by some of the greatest players and coaches in the history of the game.
These are the kinds of insights most recreational golfers never learn; the instinctive things the best players do that are rarely explained…
And once you’re aware of them, those shots that leave you scratching your head - wondering "where did that come from"? - will finally start to make sense.

I (literally) grew up with the Nicklaus family. I was just five years old the first time I played golf with Mr. Nicklaus, and throughout the years, I was fortunate to spend a lot of time with him and the family - both on and off the course.
On the course, I paid attention to everything- how he approached the game, how he practiced, how he thought his way around the course, his insights, mindset, decision-making… the kind of things very few people ever get to see or hear, and certainly not in magazines, books, or videos.
Mr. Nicklaus had, by far, the greatest influence on my understanding of how to play the game, but he wasn’t the only one.
Thanks to being part of the Nicklaus family’s inner circle, I also had the incredible opportunity to learn from many of his friends and peers including Gary Player, Jack Grout, Gardner Dickinson, Phil Rodgers, and Greg Norman.
Later, I played college golf at UNC-Chapel Hill, where I had the opportunity to work with Davis Love II, father of Davis Love III, one of the most respected coaches and men I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing.
Over the years, I’ve also had the opportunity to learn from other great players and coaches, including Bob Toski, Jim Flick, Rick Smith, Martin Hall, Mike Malaska, and Henry Young - whose insights I continue to pass along to my players today.
I’m not telling you this to name-drop or impress you, I’m sharing it because these are the players and coaches who shaped my understanding of how the game is played at the highest level, how I coach, and what I teach.
And now, I’m passing those same lessons on to you.

The Proven Golf Program That Will Help You Hit More Quality Shots, Play with More Confidence, and Start Scoring Like You KNOW You Should Be!
Why You’re Not Getting More Out of Your Game - And How This Program Will Help You Play Better Your Next Round Out
Most recreational players have the ability to consistently play better than they do.
The issue isn’t effort or even skill - it’s awareness.
Most players have simply never been shown:
How (and why) to make those minor but essential (pre-swing) adjustments before almost every shot
Uneven lies, awkward stances, different turf conditions... If you miss the necessary adjustments, you don’t have much of a chance to make solid contact.
How to properly factor in - and adjust to - course conditions and how the elements really affect your shots
Wind, moisture, slope, elevation, firmness, rollout - and other subtle factors that come into play. Even your own tendencies that day. Great players adjust instinctively. Most recreational players simply don’t realize how much these things actually affect their shots.
How to better manage your own game
Knowing your tendencies, playing to your strengths, and avoiding the shots or distances you often struggle with - the ones that tend to lead to those big-number blowup holes - these are the things good players factor in every round.
Inside this program, I walk you through all of that!
Passing along what some of golf’s greatest minds personally taught me… And showing you how to apply those same insights, so you can start playing better with the game you have right now.
“On-Course with Jim Sowerwine”
Learn the essential pre-swing adjustments for common lies - that lead to better ball contact and more quality shots throughout your round.
Whether you struggle with thin shots, fat shots, or mishits, these small tweaks will be a game-changer - for both your ball striking and your confidence.
Play to Your Strengths, Avoid Your Weaknesses
Good golf - at any skill level -requires strategic play that leans on what you do well, and steers clear of the shots or distances that often get you in trouble.
By making smarter decisions based on the game you have, you’ll start shooting lower scores and building confidence with every round.
Unlike the driving range, where you practice from preferred level lies, the golf course rarely offers ideal conditions. Whether the ball is above your feet, on an upslope, downslope, sitting halfway down in the rough, or you're dealing with a three-club wind - these situations will affect ball contact, ball flight, distance, rollout, and more.
You’ll learn the necessary adjustments, along with the “do’s and don’ts” that elite players factor - to help you hit more quality shots and avoid mistakes that often lead to blowup holes.
Every player has off days - or rounds where things suddenly go south mid-round. But good players know how to make simple on-course adjustments to minimize the damage.
You’ll learn these pre-swing tweaks and minor putting adjustments to minimize the damage, avoid meltdowns, and finish the round respectfully.
One bad hole can ruin an otherwise solid round. Even Tour players make mistakes - but they rarely follow them up with another poor decision that leads to a big number.
You’ll learn how to manage the game that shows up for you on any given day, minimize the damage from errant shots, and avoid the poor decisions that often lead to blow-up holes. By playing smarter, you’ll make fewer costly mistakes and keep more rounds on track.
How do the best players prepare for a round? Tour players follow routines to get their mind, body, and swing in tune before they step onto the first tee.
There’s more to it than just hitting balls on the range before your round. You’ll learn simple routines that help you think more clearly, sharpen your concentration, get your body ready to perform, and find some rhythm with your swing - so you can start your round feeling relaxed and confident.
Everyone feels a little nervous on the first tee - even the best players in the world. But there are proven techniques to calm your mind and lower your heart rate, so your nerves don’t get the best of you.
You’ll learn simple hacks, routines, and techniques used by elite players to manage anxiety - so you can step up with confidence and avoid that errant shot right out of the gate.
Over the years, Jim has worked with and learned from some of the greatest players and coaches in golf history - including Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Gardner Dickinson, Tony Penna, Davis Love II, Bob Toski, and more.
In this program, Jim shares the same on-course lessons and timeless insights he learned directly from these legends. He also includes several of his favorite lesser-known tips - practical, game-tested advice these greats shared with him that most golfers never get to hear.
You’ll also get access to a supportive online group of golfers who are working on their game just like you. It’s the perfect place to ask questions, get tips, and stay motivated.
Share your wins, get help when you're stuck, and learn from others in the community. Jim pops in regularly to offer advice, celebrate progress, and keep everyone on track.
If you like to practice - or you're working through a swing change, it's important you're receiving some relevant feedback, so you know you're on the right track. Without it, you might just be ingraining bad habits.
Launch monitors can provide great data, but if you don’t have access to one, you’ll learn how to set up a simple station that gives you helpful feedback on your swing path, clubface, and more.
A collection of putting tips and insights gathered over years of working with some of the game’s best players and coaches.
No matter your skill level, you’ll pick up simple, easy-to-apply nuggets that will help you roll it better and make more putts.
There are multiple short-game methods and techniques used by the game’s best players, but they all share a couple of key fundamentals. Jim simplifies the essentials and shows you how to apply them to improve your shots around the green.
Most recreational players would improve their 'Driving' if they would simply setup properly. You'll learn a simple method to know you are setting up well - and your 'Driving' will improve immediately.
